Meet Our Comfort Keepers®

Our team is uniquely qualified and ready to help

Every member of our team is professional and well trained. We conduct a thorough screening and interviewing process to identify the best home care providers, and only those who pass this process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of home care and become Comfort Keepers®. What truly sets our people apart, though, is their natural gift for caring for others.

All Comfort Keepers pass extensive background checks and complete continuing education. They are bonded, insured and covered by workers' compensation insurance to protect our clients and their families.

Neil Goforth

Owner, General Manager

Neil and his wife, Jennifer, opened Comfort Keepers of Yuba, Sutter, and Nevada Counties in 2002. Neil thought the idea of being able to help seniors remain in their own homes by improving their lives and owning a business that could be involved in the community sounded like a very rewarding opportunity. Neil is a Yuba County native, and has worked in a variety of positions from sales and delivery to upper management. Community involvement includes the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, National Federation of Independent Businesses, Comfort Keepers National Advisory Council, Yuba Sutter Healthcare Council, Elder Care Provider Coalition of Nevada County, member California Healthcare Consortium, and FREED Board of Directors. Awards include Comfort Keepers Sales Awards (3 times), Home Care Pulse Employer of Choice and Best of Home Care awards.

Elizabeth Johnson

Marketing and Care Coordination

With more than 30 years of marketing experience, I find working with Seniors and with Comfort Keepers to be very personally fulfilling and a blessing. For many years I was in the Commercial Printing Industry in a Sales in a Sales and Marketing capacity producing catalogs such as Victoria's Secret, The Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy. I grew up in South Florida and transferred to California in 1986 in a Marketing position with a large Graphic Arts Corporation. In college I studied Business Management as a major with an emphasis on Marketing.

Considering my mother's very personal and positive experience with Senior Care, it was only natural that I would flow into the industry with Comfort Keepers! My first interaction with these loving individuals who care for our aging parents was as the family member of the client in my own home! I love marketing these services because I know how very valuable they really are!

Mary Fezzie

In-Office Care Coordinator

My name is Mary Fezzie and I have been with Comfort Keepers for a year. Prior to Comfort Keepers, I worked in restaurants in Customer Service and Management. The reason I wanted to become part of the team is personal. I had a grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's and Dementia for a long time. It was watching her decline with every visit to the nursing home. While I was there, I would help her and other residents play games, eat, or even walk around. I love the idea of our company helping people stay independent and at home as long as possible, rather than placing them in a facility. I grew up in the Bay Area, but now live here locally with my 2 small children and fiancé.

Tammy Fuentes

Schedule Coordinator

Born and raised in the Yuba-Sutter area. Grew up in the Loma Rica/District 10 farming family. Spent a lot of my adolescence in the rice fields of D-10, as well on the dairy farms of Wheatland. Married with 4 children and 14 grandchildren. Very active in my church, as well as Easter Seals. For 7 years, I taught Financial Literacy to the Yuba, Sutter, and Butte county area schools and OneStops of Yuba and Sutter counties. I also worked in Nevada and Placer counties running local restaurants. I have a passion for helping people, for making things right, for seeing people succeed.
